3 More CONTROVERSIAL Things I Would Change For The Wheel of Time TV Show

Check out 3 more controversial changes I would make for the adaptation of Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series to television!

We know changes are coming; the question is, what will be changed and what SHOULD be changed? Game of Thrones succeeded because it pulled in non-book fans and the show went mainstream. For Wheel of Time to have the same type of success, what will need to be changed?

Join me as I explore 3 more changes I believe will help pull in non-book fans!

I think there are other places where such an impact can be made that will have less of an effect on the story and be more effective at its goal. After all, if we're waiting that long to hook the Game of Throne's mass appeal, we've waited too long. It is also possible to elevate characters that already do die.

Trying not to get into spoilers in the comments here, but I'm not against that kind of change in general, it's just that the circumstances around that particular event and Rand's mental state are delicate at best.

Hybridhavoc, I agree with you on the third change. I also agree with the Nae'blis with the need for this kind of deep, emotional impact on the viewer. I wonder what other changes could be made to achieve this? Maybe Bella can suffer a terrible demise?

Harldin, the Mat suggestion is interesting. Could be a great different take on Mat in Ebou Dar. I think I'm not alone in thinking his relationship there needs to be handled differently than in the books.

Gawyn going to Salidar yes, i could get with that, i would also throw in, a at times rocky relationship to Mat. Clan Chiefs yes but not Rhuarc.

Currently listening to Joe Abercrombi’s First Law books on Audible, highly recommend it, Steven Pacey is brilliant.

I don't disagree that it might seem like Rand couldn't come back from that, but I actually think that is the point. With clever writing, he could. It would make the circumstances that much worse though, and maybe Rand does some other "dark" stuff before it happens. I just think it would be a "gut-punch" moment.
