Basic Information
Appearance
The Great Lord has best access to bodies of Borderlander stock, and Osan’gar’s body is pulled from the same. He appears to be around 30, ordinary of face, and stocky of build. He seems to be a daydreamer, often lost in thought and arguing with himself quietly, sometimes in the Old Tongue. His movements appear hesitant, and he gives off a creepy air.
Personality
Of the Forsaken, Osan'gar or Aginor is the mad scientist. Research and Biology are his passion, and in the Age of Legends he pursued them without regard to ethical structures of the time. His desire to express his creativity (within the realm of genetics) was an overarching force, sometimes without any intent other than to see what could be achieved. Empathy is entirely lacking from his character. He hated the ordinary and the idea of being ordinary.
When he is reborn as Osan'gar, he is troubled that he has to play second fiddle and hide among people be believes to be inferior to himself.

Lord of Chaos
After his self-defeat in his battle with Rand at the Eye of the World, the Great Lord returns Aginor’s soul to a new body and gives him the name Osan’gar. He, along with Aran’gar (formerly Balthamel) interact with Shaidar Haran, the Great Lord’s hand.
A Crown of Swords
Osan’gar joins the Black Tower under the name of Corlan Dashiva, supposedly from the Black Hills between the Borderlands and the Caralain Grass, and trains with the Asha’man. After the battle at Dumai’s Wells he is picked randomly by the Lord Dragon as one of the Asha’man to accompany him as guards.
Dashiva is one of the Asha’man present when the Lord Dragon tries to overawe Cadsuane upon their first meeting, and laughs when she asks if Rand is hearing voices yet. He also joins gatherings with the Clan Chiefs as well as The Dragon’s party for their meeting with the Sea Folk to make The Bargain, and is there when Rand is brought back after being attacked by Fain while talking with the rebel lords. It was Dashiva who got Damer Flinn to attempt to Heal him after this event.
Dashiva is one of those who accompany The Lord Dragon in his attack on Sammael in Illian. When Sammael’s death is announced, Dashiva sighs loudly with relief.
Path of Daggers
Osan’gar, disguised as Dashiva, continues to shadow the Dragon Reborn in his meetings with those loyal to “Lord Brend” (Sammael) as well as to Illian and Altara. When the Dragon speaks of intending to cleanse saidin, Dashiva is stunned by the idea.
In one meeting with Cadsuane, Dashiva uses formerly unknown weaves to create an intimidating tone.
During the Dragon’s campaign against the Seanchan in Altara, (and after the Bowl of the Winds was used, causing oddities in the One Power for hundreds of miles) Dashiva breaks character to tell Rand that saidin is not behaving as it should, demanding him look at the way the weave was vibrating. Rand discounts this stating that Dashiva does not have enough experience to know better.
Rand, after explosions in his chambers at the Sun Palace, spots Dashiva as well as Gedwin and Rochaid. Dashiva throws a fireball at him before they flee.
Winter's Heart
Osan’gar meets with Moridin, Cyndane, Demandred, Graendal, and Aran’gar to discuss The Dragon’s plans to cleanse saidin. At the cleansing, Osan’gar attempts to skulk close enough to balefire Rand, but he is seen by Elza Penfell. Though a fellow Darkfriend, she does not know who he is, and destroys him. It is unknown if this was done with balefire, but no trace is left of a body.
Osan’gar does not appear in this book and has no notable references.

While Osan’gar does not appear in this book, he is counted as one of the dead by the other Forsaken during one of their meetings.

Aginor was one of the more powerful male Forsaken, with a strength in the Power of ++2, though Rahvin and Moridin were more powerful. His primary abilities are his creativity in the realm of genetics and biology, however the tools needed to practice his arts no longer exist, leaving him less pivotal in the Third Age.

Legacy
Aginor’s legacy from the Age of Legends is more significant to the story than Osan’gar’s. The creatures spawned from his twisted creativity help to drive every aspect of the story, from Rand’s initial sighting of Myrrddraal in the Two Rivers to the hordes surrounding the Armies of the Light in the Last Battle. Interactions such as Mat’s continued battles with the Gholam and its eventual or the wolves fight against their lost brothers the Darkhounds, nearly every major character deals with his Shadowspawn in some way.
